Why this retreat?
My name is Libbii and I’m proudly South African born and raised. I’m an intuitive life and business coach and have led many transformational workshops and retreats. It has always been my dream to take a group of like-minded people on a Soul Safari through my home country.
My hope is to provide you with a truly once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to experience the beauty and diversity that South Africa has to offer.
Imagine waking up to the sounds of the ocean and smelling the salty air as you make your way down to the beach for a gentle early-morning yoga class.
You then enjoy a healthy breakfast indulging in a variety of tropical fruits that are native to South Africa.
Some days will be spent in workshops on Reiki, EFT, spiritual creativity, quantum alignment, and/or writing your story.
Other days you’ll enjoy a safari game drive to see South Africa’s Big 5 animals.
But because this retreat is also about cultivating impact, you will also get to visit an animal sanctuary to practice giving the orphaned animals Reiki and love. A visit to one of South Africa’s many children orphanages is also planned – so please do bring one small stuffed animal for a needy child to play with.

Eco-Tourism and Ubuntu
This Soul Safari will be centered around two main themes:
Eco-Tourism – “responsible travel to natural areas that conserves the environment, sustains the well-being of the local people, and involves interpretation and education” (TIES, 2015)
Ubuntu: This is a South African philosophy derived from the Nguni culture which roughly translates as “I am because we are” and is the belief that we are all connected by our humanity.
Principles of Ecotourism
Ecotourism is about uniting conservation, communities, and sustainable travel.
- Minimize physical, social, behavioral, and psychological impacts.
- Build environmental and cultural awareness and respect.
- Provide positive experiences for both visitors and hosts.
- Provide direct financial benefits for conservation.
- Generate financial benefits for both local people and private industry.
- Deliver memorable interpretative experiences to visitors that help raise sensitivity to host countries’ political, environmental, and social climates.
- Design, construct and operate low-impact facilities.
- Recognize the rights and spiritual beliefs of the Indigenous People in your community and work in partnership with them to create empowerment.
FAQ
What is the cost?
The total cost is $8,000.
This includes shared accommodation, all meals, coffee, tea, water, juices, and soft drinks, Game Park conservation and entry fees, gratuities to the hotel staff and to the game rangers, as well as all of the transportation in South Africa.
It excludes all international airfare to South Africa and all alcoholic beverages.
Is there a payment plan?
Yes! There are a few payment plan options:
1. Pay in full and save $1,000 = Your total cost is $7,000
2. Pay $1,500 deposit and then 10 monthly payments of $650 = Your total cost is $8,000
3. Pay $2,000 deposit and then 5 monthly payments of $1,200 = Your total cost is $8,000
All final payments must be made 60 days prior to departure.
When do we depart?
The next Soul Safari will be held in 2020.

As soon as everything is finalized a retreat itinerary will be posted here and will also be emailed to you.

Travel is always better when it’s experienced with people who enjoy the same things as you. So please understand that this safari is for spiritually creative people who truly want to become more globally-conscious and socially-aware while expanding their hearts and connecting with their souls.
Carbon Footprint
Each participant’s total Carbon Footprint is calculated at 5.61 metric tons of CO2e.
To offset this, a portion of the retreat cost will be donated to a carefully created list of projects in South Africa that have strong additional benefits beyond just reducing carbon emissions. These projects include tree planting, child orphanage assistance, and animal sanctuaries.
